1999

The First Container

Charlton Trade and Enterprise is founded in Makati with a single container of Bordeaux and a client list of eleven restaurants.

2004

First Estate Partnership

Château Lumière signs an exclusive Philippine distribution agreement — the first of thirty-two estate partnerships.

2009

Cold Chain Commitment

The company invests in fully temperature-controlled shipping and refuses to import any wine that cannot be traced end to end.

2014

New World Expansion

Sourcing offices open in Mendoza, extending the portfolio into Argentina, Chile and New Zealand.

2019

Twentieth Anniversary

The portfolio passes 400 labels. Charlton begins supplying five of the ten largest hotel groups in the country.

2023

The Cellar Room

A private tasting and education space opens at the Makati headquarters, hosting over 60 trade events a year.

2026

Importer of the Year

The Philippine Wine Trade Association names Charlton Trade and Enterprise Importer of the Year.
